Jatropha will be in air soon!
Biofuel - Alternative to petroleum for reducing carbon-dioxide emissions. Now its turn for Jatropha! A Boeing 747 belonging to Air New Zealand will be powered by a mixture of this biofuel and conventional fuel, developed by UOP (A Honeywell Company)!
The jatropha oil contains oxygen, inorder to make the oil a hydrocarbon, hydrogen gas is added which removes the oxygen. This hydrocarbon molecules are then broken into shorter molecules through a hydrocracking refining process, and the linear molecules are twisted in the chain, thus replacing conventional fuel without requiring changes to existing engines! It has lower freezing point, can be exposed to higher temperatures without degrading, and can cover farther distances. Have a smooth, successful and safe test flight on December 3.

Sis still retains her garrulous nature! Pavam anna and kutti!! ;) i was thinking thats why kutti made that much expressions!! (jus kidding :)) Actually i badly missed sis after her departure to US and i missed bro & aunty who all shifted to another place. We used to spend our times chatting, playing and she is the first person who introduced me to the web world, thank you sisssy. She created my first mail account despite her busy schedule during her college days. Now after 5 yrs she is the same as i have met her before except for the winter melon!!hehe ..

Veggies at peak and now its our turn!
Yesterday i went to vegetable market to get some fresh veggies but i was stunned after hearing the rates! Tomato which was Rs.8 had turned to Rs.40 per kg!! oh my god.. Brinjal Rs. 40, carrot Rs. 30, Beetroot Rs. 30.... I got giddiness after hearing this and returned back home buying pickles!
Had curd rice for supper! For how many days is this curd rice?! When will u return back to your normal rates veggies? The climatic condition is changing due to deforestation. When are we going to plant trees and protect our forests? Many organizations and individuals are promoting the concept of turning our place green and we shall co operate with them by saving trees from cutting down. Kids should be trained to plant more saplings and to guard them. I used to wonder how kids care about the plants, inia is a 5yr old cute little kid who always want to nurture her sweet little shrub along with her mom, now that she has planted around 28 samplings to her credit! Even the little girl has contributed to our planet Earth, so then i too started planting trees. What are you waiting for friends, come and join hands in making our city green and saving our planet.

Jolting paralysis!
Researchers are successful in moving the wrists of paralyzed monkeys! They wired individual neurons (brain cells) directly to muscle cells via a computer that translates brain activity into an electrical jolt, thus helping the monkeys to move their paralyzed wrists for playing video games!
In the picture you can see the paralyzed arm monkey playing video game, the brain cell is connected with computer through wires and the wires connect the arms by-passing the blocked nerve path. This method will greatly help the human beings in near future. Thanks to Prof. Eberhard Fetz and his team for their great contribution and revolution in the medical field relieving stress and mental tension in patients.

Diwali!
Diwali, the festival of lights. Watching the sky on diwali eve is awesome. We used to hang up in the terrace enjoying the variety of sparks. This diwali showed up much dense smoke than usual, but still we ended up in enjoyment! We were rotating in 360 degrees for about 2hrs! The colorful lights and the sparkles up in the sky kept us rotating.
Morning we used to go for rounds! i.e, we give sweets to neighbors, frenz and relatives and they do visit us back at our home. This is simply like get together were we meet everyone inspite of our busy schedules. The festival paves a way for us to meet each other even if they are our neighbor!
Meet u all in next sparkling post ..

Friends
Last sunday i was watching TV, where i saw one of my college friends in a show. I was shouting in home with enthu that i have seen her in the show! The next moment we were in phone and tears rolled on hearing her voice as there was no contact with her after college. Friends do keep in touch..

Express!
Yesterday i was chatting with my college friends. Some are working as lecturers, and i was asking about their experiences with students. They are having a gala time over there. My friends dont scold the students and they move friendly with them so they are liked by everyone.
But still one of my frnz (Bujan) told that he is not satisfied with his students! Actually he teaches well but the thing is he is an express!! He talks so fast that we used to call him ExPrEsS!
His principal was in rounds and he has entered into lecturers cabin. Bujan was also standing along with his collegeaus, the principal has pointed out him and said " Students are not allowed inside the cabin during class hours!" (What a colorful smoke!!!!! Hoooooooo :P) Actually he was not wearing tie that time, so only this bulb! When princi enquird about the tie, Bujan told " Sir its so hot here. I cannt wear the tie!" (As though its an overcoat!!!!)
Eventhough Bujan enjoys his work sometimes he is sad. His students do not respond him during classes! No expressions, no comments, no movements! they all become statues during class hours! This reminds my college days.. Staff members used to tell our class, please tell yes or no atleast, because they will be taking class for nearly 45 min but we as students will be starring at them and listening. They couldnt even guess whether we are listening to them or simply sitting or in dream world! They used to give us sit ups sometimes!!!! ;) Sweet memories........ Now Express Bujan experiences the Staff tension! Take it easy and get going as students..

Got wet!
Yesterday morning it was raining heavily. I managed to get a bus to reach my destination, but got caught in heavy traffic due to rain water in narrow streets. By that time the rain had stopped. I was already late, so i started walking in a hurry burry. That was about 20 minutes walk. The weather was cool after the showers. When i opened the door, my friends found me wet. They thought i got wet in rain but actually it was sweat!

Sun showering day!
SuNdAy morning, woke up late i.e bit late from usual timings. No tension, no hurry burry. Around 10:30 got a call from my best friend vithya. Then after some time i was entering loyola college for the first time. Actually i went there to attend an interview. I couldnt find out the exact building or location of the test venue, but somehow i managed to reach.
When i was waiting in the line, one of my sweet college friends came along with her dad. I was so happy to see her after a long time. :) We were chatting and had a nice time, and we wished to back to our college! We had chappati as our lunch at loyola college, really so soft and superb. The college has so many trees which impressed me a lot. It was so beautiful that too after those thundering sHoWeRs! It was like a colony with lots of departments! In the evening we departed with a sweet news that my dear vithu got selected :) yuhooooooo... Her name topped the selected candidates list.. :) congrates da.. That was awesome, my sweet dear friend, she is really a talented girl and she used to read many books. She is a big fan of F1 race and AC of Michael Schumacher ;). Now that her dream job has welcomed her. :) waiting for a big treat from her.. hoooo..

Is it a jammy travel?!
Driving is an art. I was sitting just behind the bus driver's seat. I was so emotional and excited, when it was a turn or overtake! As though i was driving the vehicle i got tensed and was putting brakes!! There comes the red signal. We are about 1 km away from the signal! People in the metro cities really have patience! They do travel daily (may be the situation that matters). We were moving like a snail in the road! Its not that easy to survive in a crowded bus eventhough you are seated! And when coming to traffic, you get drowned in sweat in the stand still situation.
While we were crowling there came a sudden brake while i was watching out through the window. That was due to a bike that suddenly crossed our bus, to fill the gap inbetween our bus and a car infront! The bus driver was really cautious and he was driving smoothly in his long run. Kudos to the bus drivers, who value the life and helping to reach out our destinations at right time saving our life and time. Bike riders are really brave enough but still they are risking their life and threatening others life. As the chinese proverb goes "One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life", have a safe journey..

A little stop!
If you ask what is the most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension! Yesterday i was travelling in a bus, i think the conductor was bit tensed. He was just telling everyone to get tickets, actually he was threatening! A women got a ticket to little mount. She asked the conductor to intimate her when her destination stop arrives, but the conductor didnt reply. So she repeatedly asked him, atlast he responded her with a bang! When her stopped arrived, the conductor yelled as "hey little mount, get down!". I was just shocked to hear that!! Actually he was referring to the stop yar!!

Ads by conductor!
Advertisements!! Everywhere ads.. Today i was very eagerly waiting to collect my ticket in the bus! Do you know y?? That was interesting.. I gave the money to the bus conductor to get my ticket and he pressed the buttons on the electronic
machine. There came my ticket rolling out from that electronic ticket machine. Yeah the conductor handed me but i didn't see the money or the places that was printed!! There were some colorful prints at the back of the ticket! This was the reason for my eagerness and excitement! That was an advertisement!!!!!! Ads for "Kakki", a serial in vijay tv! I could see such eagerness in other faces too! That was really a nice idea. :)

Healthy T!
Tea is fairly rich in most of the B group vitamins also a good source of vitamin E and K and Beta-carotene (changes into vitamin A in our body).Tea contains traces of minerals like Copper, Flouride and Manganese and the fluoride helps in avoiding cavities in the teeth!
A cup of tea, containing 2 tbsp of milk and a tsp of sugar, yields about 40 calories.Milk contains casein, which makes the tannin in the tea insoluble, thus removing some of its astringency(acidic effect).Apart from the milk and sugar generally added, the tea infusion contains marginal quantities of vitamins and minerals, but no significant quantities of extractable proteins, carbohydrates or fats.
hey catch u later.. its tea time ..

Rare in millions!
An evidence the Antarctic continent was once much warmer than today and may have been able to sustain life.
A rare occurrence in the fossil record (ostracods) was discovered in the Dry Valleys of the East Antarctic region in an ancient lake which is 14 million years old! The fossils show that there has been a substantial and very intense cooling of the Antarctic climate after this time interval is important in understanding the effects of global warming.

HIGHLY alarming!
You look taller, leaner and simply more glamorous with spindly stilettos and towering wedges but their stilettos threaten to leave alarming effects down at heel causing bunions, corns, bent toes and trapped nerves.
Effects of stiletto and the cost to recover:
While we all love our high heels, wearing them for prolonged periods is bad news for our health and our wallets. Foot operations on women to remove bunions, to straighten toes disfigured by ill-fitting shoes, mostly high heels and accident in their heels, with twisted ankles and tripping over the most common mishaps. Cosmetic surgery is also increasing in popularity with treatments including 'plumping' in which dermal filler is injected into the ball of the foot to make walking more comfortable.
what happens:
Stilettos force the wearer to raise their heel, so the lower back bends to compensate. This puts pressure on nerves in the back and can cause sciatica, a condition in which trapped nerves cause pain and numbness as far down as the feet. A damage to the Achilles tendon, which runs up the back of the leg from the heel.
Remedy:
We need to wear mix of flat and comfortable shoes instead of just high heels matching our choice to allow our bodies time to recover inorder to be painfree sooner and to avoid long-term health problems. Sticking to heels no higher than 11/2in can help.

SMS on the way to US!
Its rare to see teenagers without their mobiles! Now a days we can see many offers as rate cutter, booster pack.. it goes on.. and ppl are addicted to sms.
Americans for the first time send text messages more than they phoned! The average subscriber’s volume of text messages has shot upward by 64 percent, while the average number of calls has dropped slightly!
Spike in messaging to the spread of QWERTY-style keypads, whose users send 54 percent more text messages than those with ordinary keypads. Phone companies are encouraging users to text by offering large or unlimited text-messaging bundles.
Teenagers ages 13 to 17 are by far the most prolific texters, sending or receiving 1,742 messages a month! By contrast, 18-to-24-year-olds average 790 messages. A separate study of teenagers with cellphones found that 42 percent of them claim that they can write text messages while blindfolded!

Windows for molecular signals!
Researchers seem to have uncovered key insights into the origins of depression, schizophrenia and insomnia, by examining the unlikeliest of candidates: WORMS!
The eyeless microscopic worm known as C. elegans that shies away from certain kinds of light have restored normal levels of movement in them to ultraviolet light! The light reaction to a tiny molecular sensor encoded by a gene they named LITE-1. This sensor doesn't resemble any other light sensors previously discovered.
This have paved a way that organisms can sense light, distinct from the previously known light-sensing mechanism used in the eye.It will be interesting to see whether the LITE-1 light-sensing mechanism will also lead to new insights into human sensory perception!
In spite of 35 years of intensive research by hundreds of labs studying these eyeless worms, no one had discovered that they can respond robustly to light.Although humans lack this ultraviolet light sensor, a window for understanding how the molecular signals in our nerve cells allow them to talk to one another to produce perceptions, behaviours, learning and memory! It will be a tool as we can use to solve the mysteries of nerve cell communication and could ultimately help us understand the biology of everything from sleep and memory to depression!

Cooling of our Solar system!
"Reduced solar activity leads to the cooling of Earth's upper atmosphere and if Earth's upper atmosphere is cooler then there is less drag up there on satellites and this means we are left with much more debris up there - which is also something astronauts have to look out for"..
The Ulysses mission is a co-operative venture between the US space agency and the European Space Agency (Esa). Launched by the shuttle in 1990, it was the first satellite to study the space environment above and below the Sun's poles.
It samples the solar wind and solar magnetic field as it circles the star in a six-year orbit that also carries it out to Jupiter and back.
But the harsh conditions of space are now slowly taking their toll on the spacecraft.
Ulysses' main transmitter no longer works and it is struggling to put enough power into its heating systems. With the satellite currently moving away from the Sun, it is gradually getting colder; and engineers expect the hydrazine fuel used in its thrusters to freeze very soon.
The entire Sun is blowing significantly less hard - about 20-25% less hard - than it was during the last solar minimum 10-15 years ago!!Posted by Mathi at 6:13 PM 0 comments

Princess in the sky!
Yesterday while i was peeping through the window, saw a man who was searching for something in the sky!I was wondering whether any UFO or meteor showers!!With this excitation i came out to checkout the sky.. WOW..
Such a beautiful giant wheel up in the sky! It was like a fort guarding the moon king!
I was just admiring at the works of nature.. How was the fort built? Its actually the frozen clouds up in the sky!!Light reflecting through the moisture of thin clouds produces the rings around the moon. This is called as a "halo".I was remembering these lines with my eyes capturing the stunning look of moon,
She'll greet everyone on a royal trip through town-
She'll smile and wave at everyone and blow a kiss at you,
Because she knows you're special! :)

Birth of Chip!
It was on 12th September,in the year 1958, the Nobel laureate Jack Kilby invented this Micro chip. He showed a piece of germanium with an oscilloscope attched, pressed a switch and there his work comes, the oscilloscope showed continuous sine waves intimating the birth of the microchip!
Jack St. Clair Kilby was born in 1923 in Great Bend, Kan.
Kilby was interested in radio tubes while listening to big band radio. He did his electrical engineering from the universities of Illinois and Wisconsin, and began his career in 1947,developing ceramic-based, silk-screened circuits for electronic products. His invention of Microchip laid the foundation for the Information Technology and now it has turned 50 years! :)
“TI(Texas Instruments) was the only company that agreed to let me work on electronic component miniaturization more or less full time, and it turned out to be a great fit,” Kilby wrote in an autobiography for the Nobel Committee in 2000, the year he won the prize for physics.

Life
September 10!
International Suicide Prevention Day(ISPD)
Life is sometimes colorful and sometimes it goes miserable. Its not the same always, where we get crescent or no moon, but we are sure to get full moon!
When one finds the life vexed up to the core.. Just divert your mind. Boost up your confidence level. Develop the attitude that you can succeed in your life in your own style.First and foremost thing is avoid LONELINESS. Be with your friends. Talk with trusted ones. Find some time with your friends.Just have some conversation with kids, then you will sure love to spend time with them. If you think thats going to take some time, take a paper, scribble whatever you think and pour down your feelings then think of your well wisher, will they be able to live without you??
Just think about this, how will they survive in your absence??Will they not go mad??So don't ever take the decision of suicide. Please never ever think about this.
Suicide prevention is everyone's responsibility. We are born as humans, which is the superior power in Earth compared to non-living and living creatures. So live it and make others life happy by leading your life happy.

Metro Rails!
Awaiting for the 2014!
I love to travel in train! Yuhoo..
In 2014 i 'll be catching a train instead of a bus or anyother to nearer places, the day where there will be no much waiting to cross the signal after 5th slot! no more sweatings, can start just before one hour or so to reach our destination! oh then may be, i have to wait in a long queue for train tickets!!!! how about a train pass! :) But still the journey to 2014 frightens me a lot! How we are going to tackle that?? Confused??
Actually traffic jam are worse at peak hours and its worst in the areas that are under flyover constructions. Now what will be the condition when it comes for the metro rail construction?! At the same time many of the trees will be shedding their lives.. :( okay as a citizen we can plant atleast 5 saplings.. around our home, then near the grounds, parks,if they permit then in temples, and we can encourage kids in doing this..So that we can enjoy the Oxygen as well as garnish our cities! Welcoming the metro rail with a red carpet in the green field!

Fuelling Idea factory!
Google!
How Google fuels the idea factory? In a recent interview CEO Eric Schmidt told ..
Innovation comes from places that you don't expect. You have to have a set of necessary conditions for innovation to occur. To start with, you have to listen to people. Innovation has nothing to do with downturns.
If you're the employee and I'm the manager, and I sit down and say, "Our product's late, and you screwed up, and you gotta work on this really hard," you can legally say to me, "I will give you everything I've got, 80% of [my time]."
The best programming team is a "telephone call," which is two people, you and I, programming together. The second-best programming team is, everybody fits into a single room.
This is how the google fuels the idea factory and all the best to the Chrome web browser..

Beware of Spam!
Here the spammers have an advantage over the anti-spam software as it scans the links in e-mail and block those e-mails with suspicious-looking ones. But ImageShack's domain is considered to have a good reputation, so messages won't be blocked. Google's Picasa photo service and Yahoo's Flickr don't allow Flash files. But still Spammers use Picasa to host images, which are then incorporated into spam messages!
Is a message spam?
To find out whether the message you got is spam, check out this.
From the header or batch of information that shows where an e-mail came from and the path it followed will be helpful if it came from a domain that has been prone to abuse and subsequently blocked.

Plasma Vs LCD!
Plasma
The display itself consists of cells.
Within each cell two glass panels are separated by a narrow gap in which neon-xenon gas is injected and sealed in plasma form during the manufacturing process. The gas is electrically charged at specific intervals when the Plasma set is in use. The charged gas then strikes red, green, and blue phosphors, thus creating a television image. Each group of red, green, and blue phosphors is called a pixel.
It employs the burning of phosphors to generate an image, thereby suffers heat generation and screen-burn of static images.
LCD
LCD panels are made of two layers of transparent material, which are polarized, and are "glued" together. One of the layers is coated with a special polymer that holds the individual liquid crystals. Current is then passed through individual crystals, which allow the crystals to pass or block light to create images. LCD crystals do not produce their own light, so an external light source, such as florescent bulb is needed for the image created by the LCD to become visible to the viewer.
Since there are no phosphors that light up like plasma, less power is need for operation and the light source generates less heat than a Plasma or traditional television. Also, there is no radiation emitted from the screen itself.
1. Larger screen size availability.
2. Better contrast ratio and ability to render deeper blacks.
3. Better color accuracy and saturation.
4. Better motion tracking.
Disadvantages of plasma over LCD
2. Generate more heat than LCD s.
3. Does not perform as well at higher altitudes.
4. Shorter display life span (9 years) than LCD.

Gammima.AG. is a virus that has managed to creep into the laptop at ISS, International Space Station! Its under vigorous investigation how it made its way, as ISS has no direct net connection and all data traffic travelling from the ground to the spacecraft is scanned before being transmitted. The virus gathers the name, password and sends it back to the central server!! Nasa is working with partners on the ISS to find medicines and vaccines to save the laptop..
